Today I’m taking part in a fun Winter trio blog hop between 3 fabulous companies showing you how to easily combine products from various companies to create beautiful projects! We all have products from many different companies and you may think styles will be different and they’re not easy to combine. Well along today’s hop you’ll see plenty of inspiration showing you so many fab projects using products from WOW! Embossing Powder, Catherine Pooler Designs and Heffy Doodle! Creating the winter sky
Start off by using the Heffy Doodle First Snow stencil to mask off a snowbank at the bottom of your card panel. Next, use a blending brush and ink blend a sky of the snowbank starting with your lightest colour and fading into your darkest colour. The colours used here were: Stone Blue, Suede Shoes, Queen for a Day and Juniper Mist.
To finish the sky off, move the stencil over the sky so you can use the ‘Snow’ wholes. With a spatula, add white embossing paste/embellishment mousse through the stencil, and then remove allowing this to dry to one side.
Adding the stamped scene
For the stamping, stamp in Icing on the cake and Sandcastle a selection fo the buildings from the Catherine Pooler Alpine Village stamp set. You can remove excess ink with a wet cloth to stamp them in multi-colours. Next, use the coordinating dies to die cut these out.
Heat emboss in WOW! Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder the tree from Heffy Doodle ‘Wanna Build a Snowman’ stamp set. With the ‘Deck the Halls’ Catherine Pooler ink, use direct to paper method to colour the tree completely and then fussy cut this out. To add a little bling to the tree, use the WOW! Embossing Powder pen to add embossing ink to the baubles and cover with WOW! Cranberry Sparkle Catherine Pooler powder and heat set.
Assembling the card
Assemble the stamped images onto your dry card panel and trim off any excess that overhangs the scene. For the sentiment, heat emboss ‘Walking in a Winter Wonderland’ onto black cardstock in Bright White Opaque and Metallic Gold Rich WOW! Embossing powder.
Trim the sentiments down and foam mount these onto the front of the card. Lastly, add a few sequins from the Catherine Pooler Oak City Sequin Mix to the card, scattering them around the scene.
