So I’m not much of a red-green Christmas colour kinda girl – I’ll use it on some cards but not all. Instead, I’m trying lots of different colour schemes this year with my Christmas cards and for this trio of cards, I went with a pastel scheme. I love how this trio of pastel Christmas cards turned out and it worked so well with the Alpine Village stamp & die set in the new Catherine Pooler Nordic Woods release. This creates beautiful sweet whimsy Christmas cards to send out this season, so let’s get started!

A trio of pastel Christmas cards: card 1
For this pink card, create a pink card panel by using the direct to paper with method with an ink pad. Apply Pink Champagne Catherine Pooler ink to colour a white card panel and set this to one side to dry.

Once dry, use a clear acrylic block and stamp the houses from the Alpine Village stamp set onto the card in WOW! Clear Ultra Slow drying embossing ink in horizontal lines across the background. Cover with WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder but do not heat set yet.
Stamp selection of trees from the stamp set next to the houses and cover in the same embossing powder. Once you have stamped the background completely, heat set the powder.

For the sentiment, heat emboss ‘hello winter’ from the stamp set onto card base colour with Juniper Mist Catherine Pooler Ink. Foam mount this onto the front of the card. Finish the card off with Chalk Stick Vintage Nuvo drops to mimic snow.
A trio of pastel Christmas cards: card 2
For this card, create a piece of coloured as above but this time with Juniper Mist Catherine Pooler ink. In addition, create another piece of Juniper Mist ink cardstock and once dry, heat emboss the Church from the stamp set in white embossing powder.

On white cardstock, stamp a selection of trees in Pink Champagne and Hot Tub Catherine Pooler ink. Use the coordinating dies to die-cut the church and trees out. With 3D foam pads, adhere these to the front of the card panel.
For the sentiment, heat emboss ‘Warm Wishes’ from the stamp set onto a piece of cardstock coloured with Hot Tub ink and add this to the front of the card. Finish the card off with Chalk Stick Vintage Nuvo drops to mimic snow. As Catherine Pooler inks are water-reactive, the Nuvo drops will reactivate the Juniper Mist and colour them slightly.

A trio of pastel Christmas cards: card 3
For this last card, use Hot Tub ink to colour a white card panel. Stamp a selection of trees, houses and the church in all three of the colours. Use the coordinating dies to die-cut out all your stamped images out. Layer these onto your card panel with 3D foam pads for dimensions.

For the sentiment, colour a strip of card with Pink Champagne ink. Once dry, heat emboss in Metalic Copper the sentiment ‘from our home to yours’ and foam mount onto the front of the card.
Lastly, finish the card off with Chalk Stick Vintage Nuvo drops to mimic snow.
