I can make cards for days when it comes to Christmas, but I can often leave creating gift tags to last minute. Well, this year I’ve started early and used the new Nordic Woods release from Catherine Pooler designs to Christmas tags with sequin pockets using my fuse tool. This release also has a fabulous Through the Woods paperback which was created to add a fun pattern touch to these tags. So let’s get started!

Christmas tags with sequin pockets - creating the layers
Start off by using the CPD layered tags tie to die cut a variety of tags out of the ‘Through the woods’ paper pack. In addition, also die-cut a few tags out of white card and use the direct to paper method to colour the card with CPD Cranberry Fizz ink.
To add the sentiment, heat emboss sentiments from the ‘Peace, Love & holly’ stamp set onto the plain coloured tags, one being black.
In addition, stamp in Cranberry Fizz some of the foliage in the stamp set onto white card. Or heat emboss these onto black card in ether white or gold embossing powder. Next, use the coordinating dies to die-cut out the foliage.

Add black ribbon through a selection of the tags to create a group of three. To finish the cards off, add the die-cut foliage onto the front of the tags.
