The new Spellbinders Card Kit for the month of April 2022 is perfect for creating beautiful spring cards. I was instantly drawn to the small die set in this card kit and created two easy and simple die-cutting and ink blending cards. I’ve also sneaked in another card that is super easy and quick to make using the pattern paper pack and die-cut shapes pack. Let me know which one is you’re favourite! I just love the card with the flowers bursting out from the fence.

Using the small die set in the Spellbinders Card Kit for the month of April 2022, die-cut this out of the coloured cardstock that comes in the kit. For a nice straight line, mask the card with post-it notes.

To create the background, ink blend a grass verge and sky using Garden Party and Cummerbund ink. For a soft blend, using blending brushes in a circular motion to fade out to white.
Next, stamp a sentiment from the stamp set that comes in the card kit in Black Jack ink. Using liquid adhesive, adhere some of the flower and leaf die cuts onto the front. Lastly, embellish the card using some of the clear sequins that come in the card kit.

Bursting flower border
This card uses a very similar process as the card before. Again die-cut using the small die set from the Spellbinders Card Kit for the month of April 2022 and also die-cut the picket fence out of cream card.

Once you’ve created the ink blended background, position the fence on the card temporarily to align the sentiment and stamp in black ink. Add the leaves to the background with liquid adhesive, and then add the flowers with foam pads for dimension.
Next, add the picket fence with thicker levels of dimension to create depth on the card. Again, finish this card off with sequins from the card kit.

Simple card with pattern paper:
This is a super quick card using pattern paper to create the background. Select to pattern paper sheets from the Spellbinders Card Kit for the month of April 2022 and trim them down to cover a background panel. These two almost remind me of the USA flag.

Next, foam mount a couple of the house die-cut shapes from the KOM to the front long with a die-cut shape sentiment as well.
Finish this card by foam mounting the panel onto a white card base.
