I had a lot of fun with the new Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Garden Rose, creating 3 cards with just the first initial play with this bumper card making kit. The third card shows how you can use this kit and easily create a card without any of the flowers too, showing how versatile this kit really is! Whats more the kit comes with some stenciled sentiments, allowing you to make a simple one layered card. Well, I almost did, I just cant help adding a little dimension…must learn to put the foam pads away.

Soft florals with dimension
This first card is packed full of the beautiful Garden Rose florals. The outline flower and leaves stamps were stamped in a soft grey ink. Next, I used the layering stamps to colour the roses in using the following colour of inks: Clay Mask, Polished, Shea Butter and Sauna.
To colour the leaves, I used the co-ordinating colouring stencil from the Craft Your Life Project Kit, and with the Altenew Mini Blending Brushes created a soft blend with the following green inks: Green Tea and Eucalyptus.
For the background, I used striped stencil that comes in the kit to ink blend Tranquil ink over one corner. This was trimmed down and foam mounted onto whie card panel with the florals clustered along the edge on the stripped design.
The card was finished off with a heat embossed sentiment from the kit and a few enamel dots from the Black and White Essential Enamel dots.
Quick Mordern CAS card
I had a few left over roses and and a left from making the previous card. Instead of putting them to one side, I used them to create a really simple and modern CAS birthday card.
I added a few splatters of Jet Black Ink Spray to a card panel, foam mounting this onto a white card base. The white card really allows the cluster of flowers pop off the card and adds a lovely elegant modern look to the card
To finish the card off, a sentiment was heat embossed onto a strip of black card to create contrast on the card. This also ties in with the black ink splatters.

This last card used the kit in a different way and creates a modern masculine style card. Ink Blend with a small blending tool Black Jack Ink through the striped stencil in the kit over one corner of a card panel.
Next, shift the stencil over and ink blend Cranberry Fizz in between the grey stripes. Make sure this is dry before applying embossing ink through the ‘Thanks’ sentiment on the stencil. Cover this with gold embossing powder and heat set.
After adding the panel to a white card base, add a heat embossed seniment from the stamp set and finished with some white enamel dots.

ok so finding the right shades of yellows and greens seem to be a problem for me, and I was stamping all day today and kept getting frustrated because I have invested in so many green and yellow pads in the past few months and throw them in a drawer because they’re too bright and I will never use them. These are very pretty!
