A cardmaking kit is a great way to kick start your creativity as you can create more than 1 card with just a few easy simple changes. Today I’m showing you how to create two different looks with one kit featuring the new Hello Beautiful Craft Your Life Project Kit from Altenew. Although these are two different styles, as we have used the same floral design, they have a cohesive look that could allow you to make a little card making gift set. So have a think of what you can change up to make more from your kit and create different looks.

Two different looks with one kit: watercolour markers
For this first card, I used the stamp set to create some watercoloured florals for a fresh modern floral card. Heat emboss on watercolour cardstock the florals from the Hello Beautiful CYLK stamp set in gold embossing powder.
Next, colour the flowers in with Altenew Watercolour Brush makers. Here I used Purple Wine and Desert Night from the Tropical Fiesta Watercolour Brush marker set. After the colour is complete, using the coordinating dies from the Hello Beautiful CYLK set to cut the images out.
To assemble the card, trim a white card panel down to 1/4″ of the card base and foam mount onto a card base. Next, cluster the florals over one corner of the card, using foam pads to create varying levels of dimension. Trim of any excess that overhangs.
Lastly, stamp a sentiment in black from the stamp set, adding this to the card and then embellish the card with a few matt gold sequins.
Two different looks with one kit: gilded embossing
For the second card, I’m using the embossing folder to create a vary easy and simple card but with a few tricks, step it up a notch. Emboss the Hello Beautiful CYLK embossing folder with Azalea Hero Hues cardstock.
Next, with a blending tool and blending foam pad, lightly rub embellishment mousse over the raised areas of the embossed design. For this card, I used Poppy Pink and French Rose Nuvo Embellishment mouse.
Trim the panel down and add this to a Nautical Hero Hues card base. In addition, stamp a sentiment from the Hello Beautiful CYLK stamp set and adhere the to the front. Lastly, embellish with a few matt gold sequins.
