It’s day two for the WOW! & Paper Rose Studio Blog hop and I have a lovely clean looking card for you that is so easy today. PRODUCED AS PART OF MY DESIGN-TEAM WORK FOR WOW! Embossing powder - SEE END OF POST FOR MORE DETAILS
WOW! & Paper Rose Studio Blog Hop: creating the 3D element
Start off by die-cutting the Lovely Florals Blossom Border die from white card at least 3 times. Next, adhere these layers together with liquid adhesive and allow the dry.
To turn this into a faux metallic piece, smoosh your WOW! Clear Ultra Slow drying embossing ink pad down over the layered die-cut and then cover with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder. Heat set this with your dual speed heat gun and repeat the process 2-3 times to create a 3d and smooth look.
WOW! & Paper Rose Studio Blog Hop: adding the colour
To add the colour, mask off an area as wide as the die-cut on a white top folding card base. Whilst using ink blending brushes, add ink in areas for the flowers. You may wish to position the die-cut over the area at times to ensure you are adding ink in the corresponding areas to the die.
For the flowers, I used Sangrai Catherine Pooler ink along with Queen for a day to darken the centre of the flowers. For the sky, I used It’s A boy from Catherine Pooler.
WOW! & Paper Rose Studio Blog Hop: assembling the card
Next, adhere the die-cut down over the ink blended area with liquid adhesive and place something over the top whilst it drys. Add a stamped ‘Hello Beautiful’ sentiment from the ‘Hello Lovely’ WOW! Embossing Powder stamp set in black ink.
Lastly, add a few clear drops around as embellishments to finish the card off.
