Today’s video is all about spreading joy not germs and is part of the Spread Joy not Germs blog hop, which has been organised by Catherine Pooler and Alexandra at The Hedgehog Hollow. They have come together, along with a whole host of other companies to provide a fun hop to spread joy within the crafting community during this time we are experiencing. What’s more, there is a whole host of prizes up for grabs.

PRODUCED AS PART OF MY DESIGN-TEAM WORK FOR WOW! Embossing powder - SEE END OF POST FOR MORE DETAILS
Creating the background
Today’s card features two techniques I love, heat embossing and ink blending. To start off, I’m using Gina K Wild Wisteria cardstock and two gorgeous purple inks from Catherine Pooler. Now, using a blending tool blend Sangria ink in circular motions onto the edge of the card, lightening your stroke as you move in towards the centre. Make sure you leave some of the middle free from ink for a highlight look. Next, go in with Grape Crush to soften the colour slightly.
To add a little more depth around the edges, go in with Juniper Mist at the edges. It is quite subtle, but it adds more depth to the edge by using a slightly darker colour.
Next, place the panel into your MISTI and place a selection of the blooms from the PinkFresh Studio Fancy bloom set on the panel. Now, use WOW! Clear ultra-slow drying embossing ink to stamp these onto the card panel.
Adding the embossing
Cover the panel in WOW! Metallic Platinum and heat set this with your dual speed heat gun. After this is heat set, place it back into your MISTI, rotating the panel to stamp more of the florals onto the card. For a more professional looking pattern, make sure the stamps hang of the edge. In addition, use a couple of the smaller stamps from the set, which are the centres of the flower, to stamp and fill in some of the larger spaces on the card. Once covered in powder, heat set once more.
Assembling the card
To assemble the card, mount the panel onto a white card base. The sentiment ‘Life is beautiful with friends like you’, which comes from Altenew Engrave flowers stamp set, was stamped in Sangria Ink and foam mounted onto the card panel. Next to finish the card, scatter a selection of silver sequins from Lucy’s card Sprinkles Glamourous circles mix and adhered with Gina K Connect glue.

Beautiful card. I love the purple and silver together. Please stay safe.
This is a beautiful card and with such a little effort! Although sometimes the blending works out those biceps; but it looks just marvelous with the platinum embossed atop it! I really like this and am gonna give it a try! Cheers!!!!
