This month’s Spellbinders Small Die of the Month March 2022 is such a fun and cute one! There are many ways to use the dies, and I’ve got two cute cards using them. The Floating Bunny die set can be used to create gorgeous spring and Easter cards, but I’ve used it to create a cute bunny birthday card that turns into a beautiful children’s birthday card. For this card, die-cut the round balloon from the Spellbinders March 2022 Small Die of the Month out of a rainbow of coloured cardstock. The colours I used were: Coral Hero Hues, Lemon Drop, Seaglass, Powder Blue, Lovely Lavender, Sweet Mango and Innocent Pink.
Add shading to each balloon with a blending brush and the following inks, concentrating the ink to one side of the balloon: Suede Shoes, Serenade, Mardi Gras, Cranberry Fizz, Be Mine, Chiffon and Tiki Torch. In addition, die-cut the bunny, clouds and the balloon strands from the Spellbinders March 2022 Small Die Of the Month out of white card.
For the background, ink blend Fiesta Blue ink onto a white slimline card panel, fading this out to white and foam mount this onto a card base. Add the die-cut elements to the card with varying depths of foam pads for added interest.
Finnish the card of with a gold foiled sentiment from the Mini Everyday Sentiments hot foil plates and embellish with a rainbow of sequins.
I created a modern style card with the fun and cute Spellbinders March 2022 Small Die of the Month. Die-cut the heart balloon die from Innocent Pink, Coral Hero Hues and Lovely Lavendar cardstock. Once again, add shading to the ballons with Serenade, Cranberry Fizz, and Be Mine ink.
The background was dry embossed with Altenew Basic Plaid 3D embossing folder in white card. This was trimmed down and added to a white card base.
Foam mount the balloons onto the front of the card, adding the strands of the balloon with liquid adhesive. Finish the card off with another foiled sentiment from the Mini Everyday Sentiments hot foil plate set.
