The new Altenew Craft-a-flower: Primrose is such a pretty little posy of flowers, but I decided to use it in a different look than it was intended. I turned the floral into a beautiful almost Cherry Blossom reminiscent floral, and I think in art, you can get creative in any way you like. To do this, there was one simple switch to turn it from a posy to blossom, by adding a branch. So why not take a floral in your stash and create a different style with it!

Craft-a-flower: Primrose - turning it into anoter floral!
To start off, colour some white cardstock with the direct to paper method with a selection of pink inks of your choosing. The colours I used for this card were: Do-si-do, Party Dress and Cranberry Fizz. Cut the three layers of the Altenew Craft-a-flower: Primrose florals out of these colours and cut the base layer out of white card.
In addition, also cut the inners out of yellow/orange colours and use liquid adhesive to layer the floral up following the layering guide on the Altenew Craft-a-flower: Primrose packaging. For the branch on this card, die-cut the stem from the Itty Bitty Flowers die set out of some brown coloured card.
To create the background, ink blend a soft yellow/orange colour from one corner of a card panel. I use the large ink blending tool along with Chiffon and Catching Rays ink colours to create this soft ink bend. Adhere the branch down from one corner before adding the florals dotted over the top.
To finish the card off, die-cut the Hello from the Altenew Craft-a-flower: Primrose out of black, layering up 3 times for dimension. I added a strip of vellum to help anchor it to the panel and lastly, embellished the card with some Cherry Blossom Enamel Dots.
