The new Build-a-flower Indian Lotus is such a beautiful stamp and die set. For the first two cards, I wanted to create an abstract pond for the lotus to sort on, and I reached for my Altenew 3D embossing folders to do this. I went with a light blue colour scheme for one and then went for an alternative colour scheme that you wouldn’t expect!
I had fun with this Build-a-flower and ended up making a third card, this time using the layering stamps of the flower more so, and if you follow me on Instagram, then keep your eyes peeled. This card will feature in Instagram reels soon!
You should have arrived here from the fantastic Terri Koszler. You can always start at the beginning of the hop over at the Altenew Card Blog here.

Build-a-flower Indian Lotus: Card 1
I dry embossed with the Organic Linen 3D Embossing Folder onto half a panel of Seaglass cardstock. Before I dry embossed it, I add some soft ink blending in a dark teal to one corner to allow for some depth.

For the flower and lotus leaf, I heat embossed the second layering stamp onto Ocean Mist cardstock, bypassing the outline layer. I did not heat emboss any of the other layers and used the coordinating die to cut out the images.
The flower/leaf was foam mounted onto the card panel and some metallic ink splatters were added using the Altenew Metallic Watercolour set. A heat embossed sentiment from the stamp set was added.

The card was finished off with a few Moonstone gems from Lucy’s cards.
Build-a-flower Indian Lotus: card 2
I enjoyed making the previous card, so I decided to make it again but with an alternative colour scheme.

For this card, I used Edible Eggplant cardstock to create the card panel and also to heat embossed the flower/leaf onto. To create contrast, I stamped the sentiment onto white card ink black and added it to the front.
Again this card was finished with some Metallic paint splatters and a few Moonstone gems scattered around.

Build-a-flower Indian Lotus: card 3
With this card I stuck to the traditional stamping, using the Spring Bouquet 6 Mini cube set to colour the flower and leave.

For the flower to pop, I paired it with Double Denim cardstock. However, before adding to the panel, I white heat embossed strips using stamps from the Tartan Stamp set.
In addition, I added some silver metallic paint splatters and another black sentiment stamped onto white card.

Wow! Your cards are breathtakingly gorgeous!
Your first card on seaglass cardstock is my favorite in the hop so far. The idea of using the Organic Linen embossing folder on the bottom portion of the card is just so imaginative.
I’m a sucker for anything on dark cardstock! All cards are great , but ove the last 2 cards.
