Hello, I hope you’re having a great weekend. I’m excited to take part in a fantastic blog hop and giveaway between WOW! Embossing powder and Ellen Hutson. These two fantastic craft companies go so well together as WOW! have a beautiful range of powders to choose from and the Ellen Hutson line of stamps and dies are gorgeous. Whatsmore, not only are the two companies collaborating, they are also running a giveaway with the blog hop.
One lucky crafter will win 6 WOW embossing powders of their choosing, a carrying case and $25 to the Ellen Hutson shop! To enter the giveaway, just comment at each stop on the hop and a winner will be randomly drawn on February 25th and contacted by email.
For today’s creations I’ve created 5 cards using a selection of stamps and dies along with some ‘Fab Foils’ from WOW!, and of course my favourite white embossing powder from WOW! Opaque bright white. When the supplies arrived from Ellen Hutson I was drawn straight away to the fantastic Big Script word dies and knew that this could do all the talking on a card with some foil and alcohol ink to pair with them. And…that Mondo Gerbera…well Gerbera’s are my favourite flowers so I had to pencil colour it in.
I decided to go with a more monochromatic colour scheme for the Gebra to allow the Opaque bright white embossing powder to pop against the bold card. And for some added texture I created a speckled embossed background. Anyway, you can see how these five cards came together in my video below, so grab a cuppa and sit back and enjoy!
(Just don’t forget to hop along and comment for your chance to win the giveaway!)

Your cards are great and I enjoyed watching your video! The colors you used are so pretty. I’ve never used the foil before and it looks fun–I didn’t know it would stick to alcohol ink like that. I also enjoyed learning that the powder can be heated from under the card, which is a very pretty background effect.
Thanks Renne, glad you enjoyed the video. Yes works well with the ink, when it is still a little stick and not completely dry, but at the same time, needs not to be too wet!

Absolutely stunning cards. My favorite craft supplies are alcohol inks and embossing powders so these cards are definitely a favorite. I didn’t know about adding foils to alcohol inks so thank you for the tip. Just gorgeous cards.
Glad you picked up a tip. Thanks for hopping along
Oooh lovely cards and a lovely giveaway. I don’t know what I do wrong but I can NOT do heat embossing lol. I bought new Embossing powders, new Embossing pads and even a Embossing pen. I did everything in the correct order, and no matter how I do it, nothing happened. I don’t get the lovely melting sequence you show (or anyone shows for that matter lol) I have it another go this .morning and 3 cards went in the bin. Lol. TFS your talent though. Xxx
That’s a shame you are having a some problems. Is your heat gun nice and hot, say heating for 20-30 seconds before bring it to the powder?
Wow your cards are AMAZING! I really enjoyed watching your video to see just how you created them! Very cool concept! Looked like lots of fun to do!
Beautiful cards. Loved the details created with the embossing powder.

Oh, my gosh! I LOVE your cards! I’m a crazy fan of blue and you used it so sweetly. I know I MUST have that huge Gerbera daisy! Thanks for the inspiration.
These cards are so pretty! I love your alcohol backgrounds and the foil really adds a lot to them. So fun to just sprinkle some embossing powder in the background. I am going to have to try that.
Such awesome cards! I like the way you combined alcohol inks with foil and used the same foil for the die cut sentiments.
Oh, my goodness! These are amazing! I love your bright yet dark color choices. I have just recently learned about WOW embossing powders, so it was great to see how you used them. I love the use of foil as well. Time to up my game! Thank you for the inspiration!
