When a card doesn't go to plan!

When a card doesn't go to plan! - Card 1

Make sure you check out the video to see the process on how my cards didn’t exactly go to plan and how I ended up with these two designs.

When a card doesn't go to plan!

For this card, ink blend yellow inks from Pocket Full of Sunshine ink set with an ink blending tool. In addition, smoosh some ink down onto an acrylic block and spritz with water. Add a few ink splatters to the blended background.

Next, trim down a piece of blue paper from the A Love for Stripes – Set D paper pack and foam mount onto the card. To create the ‘sun’ die-cut the Mid-century die out of white card and adhere onto the card.

When a card doesn't go to plan!

Add a heat embossed sentiment from the new Folk Art stamp set and embellish with a few Glacier Caves Enamel dots. Lastly, draw with a black pen a few birds flying off into the sunset.

When a card doesn't go to plan! - Card 2

For this card, heat emboss the Teapot and Cup from the Tea for Two stamp set onto yellow and pink card. To add a little depth, ink blend yellow and pink ink onto the corresponding card to add shading.

When a card doesn't go to plan!

You can either use the coordinating dies to cut the out, or fussy cut these out. Trim down a couple of pieces from the A Love for Stripes – Set D paper pack and add to a card panel. These will help anchor the Teapot and cup down.

For a bit of contrast, and to tie in with the heat embossed sentiment, I used a black pen to colour in the decoration on the teapot and cup. These were foam mounted onto the card.

When a card doesn't go to plan!

Lastly the card was embellished with a few Cherry Blossom Enamel dots
