There is a new set of Colour Background Slimline edge dies from Spellbinders but they’re not just for slimline cards. You can easily use them on small cardbases or even square and circles cards too, so you can really stretch your supplies. I had to make rainbow card with one of the dies to really show of the fun pattern, but you can easily keep it colour coordinated and monotone if you prefer. These two die are perfect for creating simple die-cutting for modern cards. Let me know in the comments below which is your favourite card off the two!

As soon as I saw the Colour Background Slimline Edges die set I had to create a rainbow card with it. The fun zig-zag die created a fun card.
After cutting the die out of various colours of cardstock from Hero Arts and Gina K Designs, start to layer these up on a white card panel. Make sure you hang the first colour off the edge.
Trim the panel down and foam mount this onto a white card base. Next, add a gold foiled sentiment using the Mini Everyday Sentiments Hot Foil Plate set and embellish with gold matte sequins.
When I start this card of I wanted a pink and grey colour but I was unsure what kind of card I was making and then a sweet little girl card was created! Die-cut the scallop die from the Colour Background Slimline Edges die set out of grey card multiple times.
In addition, cut one out of soft pink card too. Before assembling the card, heat emboss gold embossing powder over the top two thirds of the pink die-cut. Foam mount the scallops onto a cardbase to add dimension.
Again, to finish this card off, add a gold foiled sentiment using the Mini Everyday Sentiments Hot Foil Plate set and embellish with gold matte sequins.
