The Sugarplum inks from Altenew are such a lovely soft muted colour palette and this set inspired this card by creating a soft card with colour and texture.
Altenew has released this beautiful Majestic Bouquet 8×11″ layering floral stamp I choose the largest bloom to take centre stage on my card. Although I’ve created a soft card with colour and texture, I add some black accents to create contrast and pop against this muted colour palette.

Soft card with colour and texture: a continuous background
To create this card with a continuous background from the vellum to the card base you will need a MISTI. Position a piece of vellum into your MISTI and position the leave outlines from the stamp set onto the vellum. Stamp these in embossing ink and heat set in Platinum embossing powder.
Do not remove the stamps from your MISTI, instead, stamp once more in embossing ink but this time onto a card base in Soft Stone cardstock. Keep repeating this process until you have stamped and heat embossed the vellum and stamped the card base.
For the floral, stamp the layers using the Sugarplums mini cube ink set and heat emboss the outline layer in Platinum embossing powder. I did not want a white outline for this, so I fussy cut the image out up against the line. Alternatively, you can use the coordinating die.
To create contrast, die-cut the Fine Frames circles die from black card and use some of the fine frames to sit behind the floral. Next, add a heat embossed sentiment onto the card and lastly, embellish with a few Primary Ebony Nuvo drops.

Your use of the heat embossing on both the vellum and the card base is great, and leaving the vellum just that little bit larger than the card base makes it pop. I really like the soft colors used on the flower. The circles dots and sentiment strip all tie together nicely. Thank you for sharing your card.

OMG!! Stunning!!!!
What a magnificent card..where to start?? From the one color family shading to the elegant embossed leaves (left white)..elegance has collided beautifully with modernism. Love the use of the black nested circles and black Nuevo drops..just the right amount of “ not overdoing it” embellishments. Using the entire card front but leaving a great amount of white space. All the bloggers have given beautiful cards but this is truly my FAVORITE.. Thank You. I am so going to sign up to your blogs.
