Why not add colour with simple masking? This is such a quick technique and if you don’t fancy spending hours colouring an image, keep it simple and monochromatic like I have today! This card features the new Paint-a-flower: White Swan Echinacea, and it is such a lovely trio of flowers. I went with a bright vibrant colour which will cheer anyone up who isn’t well!

Start off by stamping the Paint-a-flower: White Swan Echinacea in Permanent Jet Black Crisp dye ink onto a white card base. In addition, also stamping this onto Altenew Masking paper and cut-out along the black outline.Â
Trim a piece of Altenew Masking paper to the same size as your card base and use a rectangle die to cut out from the middle. Adhere the rectangle masking frame onto the card base. In addition, also cover up the stamped image with the matching mask you’ve created.Â
With an Ink blending tool, blend Limoncello ink from the bottom of the open rectangle and fade up the top. Once complete, remove all the masking paper for a crisp stamped monochromatic image.Â
Lastly, heat emboss a sentiment from the stamp set in white embossing powder onto black card and foam mount onto the front of the card.Â

I like the color blending on this card to create a one layer card. The yellow is so cheerful.
