The new Marvelous Monthly July 2022 bundle is just that, marvellous! This release celebrates friendships with its charming images, flowers, and heartfelt sentiments. Show your bestie how much you care, or reach out to a long-lost buddy! I loved the beautiful Always Sunshine Craft Your Life Project kit and created layers to add depth and dimension with a bright and fresh colour scheme. I also had fun switching off with some no-line water colouring whilst watching a film using the new Paint-A-flower China Rose set. So, read on, find inspiration and don’t forget to hop along!

Paint-A-flower China Rose set.
Stamp the Paint-A-flower China Rose set onto watercolour cardstock in light ink, such as Ink-on 3 Fadeout Ink. I stamped the set offset to one corner.
Next, using detailed brushes, start colour in the flowers, giving a light wash over each petal. For this card, I used the Artist Watercolour 24 Pan Set. Here I went for bright Fuschia pink flowers. After each petal has dried, go back in and start layering colour and building up the definition. My tip is to be patient and layer to get the best look.
To add definition, go into the crevices with a dark pink/purple. Once you’ve coloured the flowers and leaves, go round the outside with a soft blue wash, allowing this to fade out into the white space.
To finish the card, stamp in black a sentiment from the stamp set and embellished with black enamel dots.
Always Sunshine Craft Your Life Project kit
Start off by trimming down a card panel to 5.25X3.75″ and then run this through your die-cutting machine with the Always Sunshine Craft Your Life Project kit embossing folder. Using the coordinating stencil from the kit, ink blend with Garden Party, Lime Rickey and Grass Skirt embossed leaves to add interest.
Stamp the outline stamp from the Always Sunshine Craft Your Life Project kit several times, mainly the thing leafy end with smaller flowers. Use the layering stencil set once more to colour in the flowers with the following colours: Be Mine, Pucker Up, Flirty Fuschia, Serenade and Drive-in ink colours. For the purple flowers, use Serenade for the first and second layers, applying more ink colour on the second layer.
Also, ink blend the leaves with the stamp set, before using the coordinating die from the Always Sunshine Craft Your Life Project kit set to cut the stamped images out. Add the card panel to a white card base, and then layer up the stamped images with foam pads for dimension.
Lastly, stamp a sentiment from the Always Sunshine Craft Your Life Project kit stamp set and trim this down to add to the front before embellishing with some clear drops.
