It can be a hard time for everybody and I wanted to make a card that you could send to someone to show them ‘You are in your thoughts’. For this card, I mainly focused on Die-cutting to create the main elements of the card, choosing a dark cardstock for the floral to pop off.

Creating the background panel
To start off, trim a piece of Slate Gina K Cardstock down to 5.5*4.25″. With this pain, die-cut the Altenew Mid-century Frame die in the middle but do not remove the die-cut pieces. You can apply tape on the back of the panel beforehand to prevent losing any pieces.
Next, apply some ink splatter to the card panel using a round brush and Altenew Pure White Ink Spray. Set the panel to one side to dry.
Whilst the background is drying, create a card base out of matching Slate cardstock. Then place the Altenew Feeling dotty stencil over the card base, and using a blending tool apply Shaded Lilac over the top. Next, with the card panel dry, adhere this onto the card base. The stencilled design with pop through the middle of the frame.
Creating the focal elements
For the floral, die-cut the layered rose out of Lovely Lavendar and Wild Wisteria Gina K cardstock. Next, die-cut the leaves out of Kiwi and Palm Hero Hues Cardstock. Now layer the rose and the leaves up, adding foam pads to the back to adhere to the card front.
Next, stamp the sentiment from the Paint-a-flower Poppy stamp set from Altenew onto white card and trim down to foam mount on to the front. Lastly, add a few Nuvo drops to finish the card off.
