Great news, there is another fabulous hop going on with WOW! Embossing powder as part of the Coffee Lovers blog hop. You have two chances to win, yes two as WOW! is having a mini hop between its designers. So you need to head over to WOW! blog as well to continue along the main hop. I create a coffee card using a couple of sets from Ellen Hutson. I’m not really a coffee drinker, being from England I LOVE my tea. However, I do love the smell of coffee and could easily sit in a coffee shop all day soaking up the aroma!

Coffee Lovers blog hop - WOW! Embossing Powder
Start off by stamping the coffee pot from the ‘A Breve note’ stamp set by Ellen Hutson in WOW! Clear ultra slowing drying embossing pad onto a piece of Sweet Mango cardstock by Gina K Designs. You may find it easier to do this with a stamping platform to speed up the process. Repeat stamping this over the paper, offset the image to create your own pattern paper.
Cover with Opaque Bright white embossing powder from WOW! and heat set with your WOW! dual speed heat gun. Now to colour the coffee pot in. I used my Copic markers to colour. Be careful not to colour your embossing for two reasons – it will change the colour of your embossing. And two, the alcohol could eat away at the embossing and potentially affect your marker nibs. This has not happened to me, but please be aware.
Adding detail to your design:
The card panel was matted onto a white piece of card, and foam mounted onto a card panel made out of Soft Slate cardstock from Gina K Designs. For the sentiment, I used ‘A day without coffee is like…..’ and ‘Just kidding. I have no idea.’ from the Latter Lover stamp set from Ellen Hutson.
I used YR04, YR07 and YR09 adding the darkest colour at the top and bottom, blending this out for dimension. If you get any colour on your embossing, you can go over this with a white gel pen. To add interest to the background, use your gel pen to add white dots all over.
I don’t drink coffee, but I love tea, and can imagine it feels just the same for me but just with tea! This was heat embossed with Ebony embossing powder from WOW! onto matching cardstock and foam mounted onto the card panel. Lastly, the card was finished off with a few sequins from Trinity Stamps.
