The One Plus One new release from Catherine Pooler Designs has some fantastic stamps and dies perfect for creating cards for the wedding season, even if weddings have been on hold for a few months. So if you need to make a stunning wedding card, you can easily do it with some simple tone on tone die-cuts. White tone on tone die-cuts creates elegant cards for which all it needs is a simple classic sentiment to adorn it. So let’s get started!

Creating the tone on tone die-cut background
To start off, die-cut the single Rose die from Catherine Pooler Designs out of white cardstock at least 5 times. Next add dabs of liquid glue to the back of a die-cut and then gently tap off any excess glue on a piece of scrap paper.

Adhere the die-cut down onto a white card panel and place a heavy item over the top whilst it dries. Repeat this with the remaining die-cuts, rotating for variation and allowing some to hang off the edge. Trim off any of the excess for a finished look.

Next, trim the card panel down to measure 5.25″ by 4″ and adhere the whole card panel down to a white card base.
Finishing the card off

For the sentiments, use a MISTI to stamp ‘Going to the chapel’ and ‘…..and you’re gonna get married!’ in WOW! Clear ultra slow drying embossing ink onto Gina K soft stone cardstock. Next cover this with rose gold embossing powder and heat set.

Trim the sentiments down to thin trips adding a diagonal on the end of either strip. Next, adhere to the front of the card with 3D foam pads for added dimension.

To finish the card off, add a selection of sequins from the Catherine Pooler Designs ‘Flamenco Beach’ sequin mix with liquid adhesive.
