Mini tearaway Calendar

Hey there! I am hoping your  week has been great so far, and will be even better now it is the weekend. This post came about because I was asked to make a little calendar to replace an old out dated one on sweet piece of home decor. This home decor was created with the aid of my little nephew – he certainly has the right hands for this job! Oh, sorry that was a bad joke. Anyway, the decor came with a mini tearaway calendar. But, as things like this do, they become outdated. So, I was asked to make a little replacement and, you know what? With the aid of your Silhouette it is so easy to do! Whats more, I have included the free Print and Cut file to download for personal use only.

Materials required for mini tearaway calendar:

  • Silhouette Cameo, studio and Mat – alternatively you can use a Portrait or Curio
  • Thin card stock or paper – Be aware if you use paper, you will want a low tack mat.
  • Stapler
  • Double sided tape

Optional:

  • Decor to attach your calendar to

mini tearaway calendar details

I recommend using light weight card for this, or if you mat is very low tack you could use heavy weight paper. You just want to be careful not to tear your paper when your remove it from your mat.

Download the file below, and print this out on your print. Make sure, the registration marks are on as this is vital when it comes to cutting.  If this calendar, is too small, you can alter the size of the calendar pieces. However, to make sure they all stay the same size you need to select the all together before you adjust the size. The easy way to do this, is to draw a box with your cursor around all the images and it will highlight them all.

Once printed, place this in your cutting mat and load it into your machine. Before you go to print, make sure each box is set to ‘cut edge’ only. You don’t want it cutting the letters or lines inside each box.

When all the boxes had cut, layer up the panels in the correct order and staple together, making sure this is above the score/perforate line. You need this left clear so your can easily tear each month off once it is finished with.

Do you like this project? Why not pin it and save for later? It will be there for when you need it!
