Silhouette UK: Thank you cards – Gold Scratch-off sticker sheets

Hello, good to see you have popped over to the blog. I hope you’re having a great day! Today’s project features the gold scratch-off sticker sheets. Gold scratch-off sticker sheets are just like the material you find on scratch cards from the post office. The material sits on top of the clear plastic adhesive sheet. Therefore, just cut your shape like you would a sticker, peel off of the adhesive back and stick down onto your project. Then your recipient will be able to scratch the gold material off the clear plastic to reveal your surprise.

Now, I know a lot of people use their Silhouette machines to make objects to sell. But why not use your Silhouette machine to help with your business stationery as well? I don’t sell items I make, but I wanted to do this post to help inspire you. These cards are a great way to interact with your customers, and reward repeat custom. They are so easy to make and easy to change the ‘reward’ to suit you.

Gold scratch-off sticker sheets cards process overiew:

Design the layout of your gift card in Silhouette Studio software. For some hints and tips on this, head over to the Silhouette UK blog (link at the end of the post) for pictures step-by-step. Make sure you create a shape for where you want your ‘scratch-off’ material to lie.

Using the print and cut feature with Silhouette, print out your cards and using your machine to cut these out. Next, on a separate design window, copy and paste your ‘scratch-off’ shape ensuring you’ve duplicated enough shapes for the number of cards you have. Place the scratch-off sticker sheet on your mat and load into your machine. With the scratch-off sticker sheet selected in your materials, send the design to cut. Make sure you do a test cut first – you want a kiss cut. This is where the blade cuts through your material (the top layer) but does not cut through the adhesive backing (the bottom layer). Once cut, remove from the adhesive backing and transfer/stick down onto your cards.
