Silhouette UK: Art Deco Inspired Gift Card Holder

Hello, good to see you again. I have a lovely quick make for you today as it makes this art deco inspired gift card holder. This features the printable gold foil sticker sheets from Silhouette, and this adds a touch of class to any paper crafting project. As it’s sticker sheets, you don’t need to worry about adhesive or even intricate cuts as the adhesive has been added for you! The floral design of the card holder, isn’t really art decor, but I feel the colours used along with the frame details shows the art deco inspiration.

Art deco inspired gift card holder process overview

For full details on how to create the gold frames and cut the design out with your Silhouette machine, please see the link at the end of the post to Silhouette UK Blog. Here you will find step by step instructions with screenshots on how to do this.

To assemble the card once cut, fold over at the score lines. Remove the foil frames cut out from the gold foil sticker sheet and adhere to the corresponding flap. Make sure you burnish the cut-outs down to ensure they adhere well. To adhere the floral shape correctly, remove the negative outline – as we placed this inside a frame, you should have a small rectangle you can pull away with the negative of the floral. Very lightly position this on the gift card holder, where you wish to place the floral.

You can now use the negative outline, to add in the positive shapes, allowing you to assemble the floral whilst maintaining its shape.
