It’s release day for the new Global Adventures Part Deux collection from Catherine Pooler designs, along with the new refreshed in colours. Refreshed inks card 1
Start off by heat embossing in gold the origami birds from the Origami Cheers stamp set onto watercolour card stock. Next, start colouring the birds on with the newly refreshed inks: Minted, Oh Boy! and Sixteen Candles.
If you didn’t know you can watercolour with Catherine Pooler inks by smooshing the ink pad onto an acrylic block and spritzing with water or add a few drops from your reinker to a palette. Create a gradient effect when colouring the birds in.
Die-cut the birds out using the coordinating Origami Cheerful die set. Before adding these to a card panel, with a blending brush apply some Oh Boy! ink to give the impression of a sky.
Finish this off by heat embossing a sentiment from the Origami Cheers stamp set and adding a few sequins from the Portland Sequin mix.
Refreshed inks card 2
For this card, stamp the origami butterfly from the Origami Cheers stamp set in the newly refreshed inks and die-cut out with the Origami Cheerful die set.
To create some detail in the background, mask off a vertical strip on a card panel and repeatedly stamp the butterfly in Twilight ink. remove the masking and using a blender pen, add some vertical lines to create a border in Twilight ink
Next, stamp a sentiment in Black Jack ink onto the panel before foam mounting onto a card panel. Now foam mount the butterflies on top and embellish with Portland Sequin mix.

Wow! I really love your cards. The twilight lines you painted on the butterflies one really gives the impression if volume. I really thought you had cut off the stamped striped and inlayed it in between the two with strips leaving a bit of gap. Amazing
Thank you, Audrey! I think your way would be far quicker, but if you want to reduce bulk but still give dimension then this is definitely a technique to remember!
