It’s nearly December, so depending on how early you send out your Christmas cards will depend on how much time you have left to make them. Today I’ve got a quick die-cutting simple Christmas card that you can whip up in no time. My tips when it comes to quick die-cutting is to use a cover plate die. This adds a lot of design quickly and sometimes just needs a sentiment to finish it off. So let’s get started!

Quick die-cutting: creating the background
With the Catherine Pooler Designs Holly Frame Cover plate die, die-cut this out of Gina K Designs Cherry Red cardstock once. In addition, die-cut it twice more out of white card and using a nesting rectangle to cut out the stitched frame from the cover plate die.
Layer up the white stitched frames and adhere these onto the red die-cut piece. For the sparkle background, add wide strips of double-sided tape to a white card base. Remove the release paper and sprinkle a little WOW! Gold Dust Sparkles onto the background before covering the rest wit WOW! Crystal sparkles. Burnish these in with a bone folder to prevent the glitter from shredding.
Quick die-cutting with a simple Christmas card!
For the sentiment, die-cut the Catherine Pooler Happy Holidays word die out of white cardstock. Next, cover this with embossing ink and WOW! Metallic gold rich embossing powder before heat setting. Repeat this 2-3 times for smooth look and then adhere to the front of the card with liquid adhesive.
Lastly, add a few Chalkstick Nuvo Vintage drops to finish the card off.
