When I saw this die from Birch Press Designs, I knew it would have to be the focal element of the card and would be perfect for a modern CAS Christmas card. I decided to keep the colour scheme lovely and soft to go with the modern feel, and the soft rose mirror card pairs beautifully with the soft tone of the grey. I love how this card turned out and I must remember the formula of this card for future makes as it is a great pairing!

Creating the sentiment for a Modern CAS Christmas card
To start off, die-cut the ‘Fa La La’ Honey Script die from Birch Press Designs out of Tonic Nuvo Burnished Rose Mirror card. In addition, die-cut the same sentiment from 80lb Neenah Solar White Classic Crest card 5 times which we will use to create the layers.

Using Gina K Connect Glue, start adhering the layers of the sentiment beneath the mirror card die-cut, making sure you offset the layer beneath slightly so it peaks out from the bottom. Keep repeating this until all 5 layers are attached and you should be left with a layered 3D shadow.

Adding a background on a CAS Christmas card
To add a little more interest, but still in keeping with a CAS Christmas card, heat emboss the Pinstripe Background from Altenew onto a piece of Soft Stone Gina K Cardstock. Mask off a strip of the card towards to the top before you stamp it in Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Ink from WOW! and then cover with WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder and heat set.

Trim the embossed panel down and foam mount the background onto a card base made out of matching the cardstock. Next, adhere the layered sentiment onto the card, sitting at the top of the striped embossing.

To finish the sentiment off, heat emboss on black card the sentiment from the Happy Holidays Stamp set in rose gold embossing powder. Trim the sentiment down and foam mount this onto the card panel. Lastly, add a few Antique Rose Nuvo Crystal drops as embellishments.
