Today I’m taking part in a fun blog hop with fellow AECP crafters. We’ve been tasked with CASE-in a fellow AECP crafter and I was assigned Fabrice Cote. (You can check out her blog here!) So CASE stands for copy and share everything, and when I went to Fabrice’s blog, I was drawn this a very bright colourful floral card. When I saw it, my mind went to a vertical garden and thought why not try to create that for my card with Fabrice’s card as inspiration. I also loved the dark navy colour in the card and used this, along with florals and the layout of the card to create mine. So let’s get started and create a card inspired by another crafter!

card inspired by another crafter: creating the foliage
To start off, I stamped the bold layers of the florals from the Altenew Watercolour Blooms stamp set in Stone Blue ink. After this was dry, I stamped the final layer of the blooms in Juniper Mist Ink. In addition, stamp a selection of the foliage in Sage and Spruce ink.

After all the stamping was complete, cut out all the images with the coordinating dies. To create the rectangle design a seen on Fabrice’s card, I cut down a piece of grey card to add all the images onto. Layer in the foliage on over the card, with some hanging off the edge, and allow some grey to peak through to appear as a ‘wall’.

card inspired by another crafter: assembling my vertical garden!
For variation, foam mount the florals onto the vertical wall garden and add this to a white card base. For the sentiment, die-cut the Altenew Fancy Thanks die out of black card and twice out of Burnished Rose mirror card. To make it easier to adhere, add Altenew adhesive sheets to the back of the card before die-cutting.

Layer the die-cuts up by sandwiching the black die-cut in between and offset to allow this to peek through. Next, adhere this to the card, offset down in the lower right third. Lastly, the card was finished off with a few Moonstones from Lucy’s cards.
