Fun Layered slimline birthday tag card

There is a new slimline die on the town and it’s a great one! This card features the new Slimline birthday tag die. What’s great about this is you can create a big tag perfect for adding to presents, but at the same time you can also use it to create a layered slimline birthday tag card just like I have.

With this card, I got a little creative and added in some mixed media to break up the layers of the card, and add different levels of texture. I went for a blue and gold colour theme, but you can easily switch this up to suit the recipient!

layered slimline birthday tag card: creating texture

Start off by die-cutting the Slimline birthday tag die out of white cardstock. Next, apply Old Navy Nuvo Embellishment mousse with a spatula to the tag, covering a large area.

In addition, add embossing ink with the WOW! Mixed media brush and cover ith WOW! Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder. Once it is heat set, foam mount onto the top of the tag.

layered slimline birthday tag card: assembling the card

To create the card, die-cut the Crafty Meraki Bar Non-Slimline die out of Denim Cardstock. Add this to a slimline card base with liquid adhesive and foam mount the layered tag on top.

The Birthday Slimline tag comes with two smaller sentiment dies. Die-cut this out of black card and add to the front. Lastly, finish with a few Ebony Nuvo Crystal drops.
