It is release week for Catherine Pooler Designs and this months release is all about Christmas. The name for the release is ‘This Christmas‘. What will you be doing This Christmas? Will you be home or away? What kind of cards will you be sending? Classy and elegant? Modern and fun? How about Nostalgic and cute? Whatever the case may be,they’ve got you covered with the This Christmas Collection!
When I saw the collection, I was immediately drawn to the Classy Christmas bundle as this collection suits my style of card making – modern and elegant. However, as they say, This Christmas Collection has every type of style covered to suit your Christmas card making style.

Beautiful Hanging Dove Wreath - colouring the stamps
This card features the Adorning Doves stamp set. I stamped the various stamps in the following colours:
To colour the images in, smoosh some of the ink onto the corresponding ink pad.
Next, using a Tombow blender pen, pick up some of the coordinating colour and colour the stamp images in. The colour will fade out of the pen but if you switch colours and it hasn’t gone, scribble onto a scrap piece of paper.
After the colouring is complete, use the coordinating dies to cut out the stamped images.
Add texture to the card
To add some texture to the background, heat emboss in White Pearl embossing powder the Laundered Linen background stamp onto a white card panel. Trim this down and add to a white card base.
When using the wreath die, you can also use the new Round of Merrys Die to add a sentiment easily. Die-cut the Round of Merrys Die out of white card and add to the card front. Next, add all your die-cut images with foam pads to create layers and dimension.
To finish this card off, embellish with sequins from the Mistletoe sequin mix.
