Easy winter sky with simple heat embossing

This card comes together in no time, and you want to know why? Well, it’s all down to creating the winter sky with some simple heat embossing. This card uses a new embossing powder from WOW! Embossing powder and is such a fun powder to use as a background to night skies. With one simple die-cut and a few sequins to embellish this card has all the sparkle and interest it needs in the sky for a modern and classy Christmas card.

creating a winter sky with simple heat embossing

Start off by applying WOW! Clear Ultra slow drying embossing ink onto a piece of white card. Next cover this with Blueberry Pie Embossing powder from the new Dee’s Delight Embossing Powder Trio from WOW!

As this has different size chunks of powder in it and some embossing glitter, make sure you heat set from underneath so no powder blows off before it has had a chance to melt. Adhere this panel once heat set down onto a card base.

Assmebling the card

To assemble the card, die-cut the Hero Arts Rolling Hills Frame cuts out of white card and foam mount this over the embossed panel. The heat emboss will pop through the die-cut opening.

To embellish the sky, add white sequin discs of varying sizes to mimic falling snow. Lastly, stamp a sentiment from the Christmas Sentiment stamp set and add it to the front of the card.
