Have you heard of Earth Sparkles from WOW! These sparkles have a lovely wide range of colours which we know WOW! love to bring us but what makes them extra special is they are biodegradable glitter. Isn’t that great, you can use glitter in your projects and still look after the environment! I’ve used these to create an Earth Sparkles Stencilled Background and I love the texture it added to the card.
Do you know that WOW! Embossing Powder host a monthly challenge over in the Facebook group?! If not, make sure you head over there to enter your creations. This months theme is Love/Wedding/Anniversary/Valentines and today’s card hopefully inspires you to create a card for this months theme and enter. You could win a gift card for £15/$15 so worth having a go. I was lucky enough to win a couple of times myself before I joined the Design team.

Creating the Earth Sparkles Stencilled Background
First of all, adhere the Altenew Broken Chevron Stencil over a white card panel and using a spatula apply Altenew Embossing paste through the stencil. Cover as much of the panel as you wish, and then remove the stencil making sure you clean this and the spatula straight away to prevent the paste from drying on your tools.

Next, whilst the paste is wet, cover with Lobster Earth Sparkles tapping off any excess glitter, funnelling this back into your pot for future waste. Set the card panel to one side and leave this to dry.

Whilst the panel is dry, die-cut the Altenew Floral Heart Frame die from white card ensuring it cuts all the way through. Next, cut this die again but from thicker cardstock so it only cuts the outside shape and does not cut all the way through for the inner design.

Using a combination of Copic colours, creating an ombre effect by colouring the partially die-cut heart in, with the darkest colour at the top and blend this out to lighter colours. You may wish to use a colourless blender to blend the lightest colour out to white. The colours used here were:
To finish the heart off, adhere the fully die-cut floral heart frame over the top, adding dabs of glue to the back of the intricate die, and line up the design with the impressed design in the partially die-cut heart.

When the panel is dry, adhere the panel to a white card panel and using liquid glue along with foam pads, adhere the heart over the top. The glue helps the die-cut adhere to the glitter.

To finish the card, die-cut the PinkFresh Studio Beautiful word die from black cardstock and adhere over the top of the heart. Make sure you add a few trimmed down pieces of foam pads behind the letters that sit off of the heart. Add a smaller heat embossed sentiment strip to finish the sentiment off.
Lastly, add a few clear sequins to embellish the card.
