Today’s card features the Altenew Flowing Hearts stencil and it is two stencils in one. It is perfect for double stencilling and this card creates such an impact with a simple technique. You can easily change the sentiment up depending on who this card is for, but don’t assume as it is heart stencil it has to be a romantic card.

Double Stencilling: Creating the first layer
Start off by trimming down a piece of Gina K Soft Stone cardstock to 5.25″ x 4. Position the Flowing Hearts Stencil off to one side and using a blending tool, blend on a soft pink ink colour from the top down over the large heart. Using a bone folder and a scoreboard, score lines across the card at every 1/4 inch making sure you do not score over the heart.

Next, using a darker pink ink, blend the colour over the bottom of the heart upwards, blending out into the soft pink for an ombre look. Set this to one side to work on the other heart.

Double Stencilling: Creating the double layer
Place the stencil over a piece of vellum and apply embossing ink over the small heart stencil. Next, cover this with rose gold embossing powder and heat set. Using a pair of scissors, fussy cut the embossed heart out.

Die-cut the PinkFresh Studios Beautiful word die from white card 3 times and adhere together with Gina K Connect glue. Position the layered die-cut on top of the vellum heart and adhere with a small amount of glue.

Double Stencilling: Assembling the card
Add some liquid glue behind the embossing on the vellum and die-cut and adhere over the top of the ink blended heart. Add a heat embossed sentiment on a strip of black card with white embossing powder and adhere onto the card. This sentiment is from the Altenew Leaf Clusters stamp set.
