The Natural Flourishes stamp & die set from Catherine Pooler Designs has some beautiful stamps that can take centre stage on a card very easily. However, I’m showing how you can easily use them to create a custom background with a simple stamp such as this big leaf flourish from the stamp set. Add a bold die-cut sentiment on the front and you’re good to go.

Start off by stamping the leaf flourish from the Natural Flourishes stamp set in Black Jack ink 7 times. Next, use a blender pen such as the colourless blender from Tombow to pick up some Catherine Pooler Ink and colour the leaves in.
The easiest way to pick up the ink is to squeeze your pad lid down onto the pad when the ink pad is closed. This will add ink to the inside of the lid and act as a palette to colour from.
The colours used were the following: Pucker Up, Cranberry Fizz, Tiki Torch, Chiffon, Mardi Gras, Suede Shoes and Drive-in. Once coloured, use the Natural Flourishes die set to cut these out.
Adhere the leaves down directly onto a card base and trim off any excess. For the sentiment, die-cut the Deco Thanks die from black and white card and add this to the front. Finish with a heat embossed sentiment from the Natural Flourishes stamp set and embellish with Ebony Black Nuvo drops.
