Each month the theme changes and the theme for July is Pearl embossing powders. I love the WOW! Pearl embossing powder range, and I love to use it to add pearl accents to my cards. For my inspiration card this month, I’ve used two beautiful pearl powders to add pearl accents to both the focal image and the background. So let’s get started!

Creating pearl accents with your focal elemets
To start off, stamp the twine wreath in the Catherine Pooler Designs Sweet Home Wreath stamp set onto Catherine Pooler Design Premium White cardstock in WOW! Clear Ultra Slow drying embossing ink. Next, cover this with Gold Pearl embossing powder and heat set. This pearl powder is slightly softer in colour when stamped on white card compared to regular gold metallic embossing powder.
Position one of the leaf wreath over the top of the embossing powder and stamp in Spruce Catherine Pooler ink. Next, position the second layer of the leaf wreath over the top and stamp in Eucalyptus ink. The heat embossing will resist the ink when stamping, so use a cloth to wipe off any excess ink on the heat embossing. In addition stamp a selection of the foliage from the stamp set in the same colours.
Also stamp the flowers and berries as well, stamping these in Coral Cobana and Rouge Catherine Pooler ink. Once all the stamping is complete, use the coordinating dies to die-cut the images out.

To add a pearl accent to the background, stamp the Catherine Pooler Designs Love Note background stamp onto Gina K Soft Stone cardstock in embossing ink. This time cover this with WOW! White Pearl embossing powder and heat set. The white pearl will take on the colour of the card and create a pearlescent tone on tone look.
Add the background to a 5″ by 7″ white card base by foam mounting for dimension. Use a combination of 3D foam pads and liquid adhesive to add the wreath and the stamped images to the front. For the sentiment, stamp ‘With Love’ from the Catherine Pooler Designs ‘Good Stuff Inside’ stamp set in Black Jack Ink onto white card. Next, use scissors to quickly fussy cut this out and foam mount to the front.
To finish the card off, use a selection of Jewels from Lucys card Ice Cube Mix to embellish the card.
