Today I have a super-duper easy card for you using one stamp to create the background panel. This colour combination is a match made in heaven, and what’s more, it is perfect for masculine cards. I think this card would be a perfect card for any grandson or nephew or even for a lover of sloths!
PRODUCED AS PART OF MY DESIGN-TEAM WORK FOR SUNSHINE & BEE DESIGNS - SEE END OF POST FOR MORE DETAILS
Creating the background
To start off, position a piece of Nautical Hero Huescardstock into your MISTI and position one of the sloths from the Chill Out stamp set on one corner of the cardstock. Next, treat the cardstock with an antistatic bag and ink the stamp up with WOW! Clear Ultra Slow drying embossing ink.

Stamp the sloth down and then move the card to one side by 1″. Repeat stamping the image in embossing ink again, more 1″ to the side and repeat until you have a line of sloths stamp in a row.

Continuing the stamping
Reposition the cardstock back into the corner of the MISTI and take the sloth of the MISTI door. Now place the sloth stamp below the first line of your stamping, offset between to sloths. Ink the stamp up with embossing ink and stamp. Repeat moving the card 1″ to stamp until the row is complete. Carry on stamping this till the background is complete. Allow the stamp to hang off the edge for a more continuous pattern.

Once the background is full stamped, cover with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder and heat set with your heat gun. Make sure it is nice and hot before you bring it to the card to reduce the amount of warping you see. After the background is heat set, adhere the background down onto a white card base.

Finishing the card off
For the sentiment, stamp ink Juniper Mist Catherine Pooler Ink ‘Wishing you the happiest of birthdays’ from the Positive thoughts stamp set onto white card. Trim this down and adhere to the front of the card using foam adhesive squares.

Lastly to finish this card, add a few mat gold sequins in various sizes scattered around the card.
