I had a lot of fun playing with the Spellbinders March 2022 Card Kit Of the Month and today I’m sharing some more inspiration using the kit. With today’s post, I’m focusing on using the kit to create modern cards with both florals and geometric elegance for quick and easy cards. I love the colour palette of these cards and think these really help to add to the modern style, what do you think? So let’s get started!
This post was produced as part of design team work with the Spellbinders Club Influencer group where I'm given supplies to use. The information provided is based on my own personal experience - I am not an expert.

Hearts Galore card

For this card, foam mount a piece of pattern paper onto a card black and add some of the heat die-cut shapes to the front. Add with foam pads to create depth and dimension.
In addition, embellish with the stick die-cut chipboard pieces to add sentiments. Don’t be afraid to cut them up as I did with the arrow so I could make it look like it had pierced the heart.

Framing your sentiment card

For this card, I added some pattern paper from the kit behind the frame chipboard stick and trimmed off any excess. Foam mount this onto a card base on a slant for a more interesting look.
Use some of the coordinating die-cut shapes from the kit to embellish along with adding a sentient from the chipboard stickers. Lastly, embellish with some White nuvo drops.

Flowers bursting over the top card

Start off by adding a piece of the sketchy check background paper to a white card base – make sure you leave some white space at the top. Start to add some of the watercolour florals from the die-cut shapes to make it look like they’re bursting over the paper.
Add a few leaves so they hang down over the pattern paper so it ties in with the paper. Add a sentiment using the Chipboard stickers and then finish with Morning Dew Nuvo drops.

Florals cascading down the card

This card is similar to the previous card but all we simply do is switch up the orientation with the paper. As this paper has small dashes of metallic fold in it, add metallic levels to tie in the florals.
To make the sentiment stand out a little more, add a scrap of card behind the chipboard piece and trim the end to create double banner!
