WOW! Embossing powder is having a couple of fun hops to celebrate the release of some of their new powders. I’m taking part in the YouTube hop and giveaway where you can with a $25 just by commenting along on each video stop on the way. The trio of embossing powders I’m using is the new Summer Scoops Trio. Now summer may be over, but these powders can look good all year round. Today I’m using the trio to create cards that pop! I’ve got three fabulous birthday cards, hopefully, there is a card to suit any style out there, even masculine!
There is also a blog hop happening as well, so make sure you check out the WOW! Embossing powder blog too.

Create Cards that pop! - Card 1: Orangeade
For this first card, temporarily adhere the Catherine Pooler Twist Sunburst stencil down over some Gina K Lemon Drop cardstock. Next, smoosh your WOW! Clear ultra slow drying embossing ink down over the stencil to transfer ink to the card.

Remove the stencil and cover with WOW! Orangeade Embossing Glitter from the Summer Scoops Trio embossing powder. Heat set this from behind to prevent the glitter from blowing off.
To finish this card, adhere the card onto a matching card base and add a happy birthday sentiment. The layered ‘happy’ die is from Lawn Fawn and this was added onto a black die-cut circle with the word ‘Birthday’ heat embossed. Lastly, a few Chalk White Vintage Nuvo drops were added.

Create Cards that pop! - Card 2
For this card, adhere the Altenew Sphere stencil over a piece of black card. Once more add ink through the stencil and then cover this with Lemon Sorber embossing glitter from the Summer Scoops trio.

Remove the stencil and heat set the powder. As this powder is opaque, the yellow colour will remain once heat over the dark cardstock. A layered ‘happy’ die from Altenew was added to the front along with a small stamped ‘birthday’ from the Altenew Birthday Builder stamp set.
Add this card panel to a black card base and then embellish the card with Chalk White Nuvo Vintage drops.

Create Cards that pop!- Card 3
For this card, I used the Altenew Watercolour stripes to create a striped heat embossed background on Innocent Pink Gina K designs cardstock. The background was covered with Razzleberry embossing glitter from the Summer Scroops Trio. This powder goes really well with the pink card and creates a lovely girls birthday card.

For the sentiment, die-cut the word ‘happy’ using the PinkFresh Studio Lea’s Ornate lowercase alphabet dies out of white card. Adhere these to the front with foam pads to add some dimension.
A ‘birthday’ sentiment from Altenew Birthday Builder stamp set was heat embossed onto black card and added to the front. Lastly, the card was also embellished with Chalk White Nuvo Vintage Drops.
