Colourific: Vellum Leaf Wreath

Hello there, hope your weekend is off to a good start! I had a vision of how this card was going to turn out when I started, and I can say, this card is exactly like how I had planned it. When I saw the A6 leaves stamp set from Colourific, I thought they would be perfect for creating a wreath. Whatsmore, pair it with vellum and embossing powder and a beautiful vellum leaf wreath card was created!

Vellum leaf wreath Card Process overview

Start off by repeatedly stamping the outline leaves from the A6 Leaves clear stamp set in versamark onto vellum. Cover this with white embossing powder and heat set. Once you have stamped and embossed enough leaves fussy cut these out. Start arranging the leaves onto a kraft card panel – you may find it useful to draw a faint pencilled circle for guidance.

Using strong adhesive, secure the leaves down, overlapping and weaving the leaves for interest. Add a layered die cut sentiment to the middle of the wreath. I also added a black die cut sentiment at the back, offset to one side to create a shadow. This will help the sentiment stand out from the wreath. To soften the edges, lightly ink blend white pigment ink and foam mount the card panel onto a square kraft card base. To finish off, add a selection of sequins, scattering them around the wreath.
