CAS Christmas card with simple colour scheme

The Adorning Doves stamp & die set is such an elegant set and is perfect for a simple beautiful elegant Christmas card with traditional colours that pop off white space. The flying dove and little sprig are both a similar size so that you can easily place the sprig in the Dove’s mouth for a sophisticated card. So let’s create a CAS Christmas card with a simple colour scheme!

Colouring the images

Start off by stamping the leaf stamps in Deck The Halls ink and the berries in Cranberry Fizz ink from the Adorning Doves stamp set. For the Dove, stamp this in Twilight ink. Next, smoosh each of the each pads into the lads so you have a little pool of colour.

With a Tombow blender pen, pick up the colour of ink and colour the stamp in. As these stamps are small you can colour them in without the cardstock pilling. Use the twilight ink to create shadows on the Dove so to give the appearance of white.  Die-cut the images out using the coordinating dies

Assembling the card

To add a little interest to the card and to keep the elegant style score at 1/4″ down the card panel and foam mount this onto a white cardbase. Heat emboss a sentiment in white onto black card from the Adorning Dove stamp set

Foam mount the stamps onto the front of the card, clustering them around the sentiment. Make sure you keep one small sprig and berry to position behind the Dove. Lastly, embellish with silver sequin discs.
