Brutus Monroe – You are Awesome, Botanical Banners

Welcome to the blog, I hope you are having a great day. As it is Saturday, it means I am up on the Brutus Monroe blog. Today I have this lovely soft and elegant floral card I created for my Mum for Mothers day -You are awesome, Botanical Banners card. Here in the UK, Mothers day was last weekend, so I am able to show you this card without spoiling the surprise! I used the gorgeous Botanical Banners stamp set to create this gorgeous floral frame and I layered the design for depth and dimension. So lets get started so you can recreate this!

*For supplies featured in this post, please refer to the links at the end of the post.

You are awesome, Botanical BANNERS Process overview

Using clear embossing ink, stamp the floral design onto a Kraft card panel. I used a stamp positioner so I could colour my image before I heat embossed the deign. However, if you don’t have a stamp positioner you can emboss it straight away and colour in between the embossing.  Rotate the stamp for added variation and stamp additional images on scrap pieces of kraft to fussy cut for added dimension.

Colour your images in in your chosen colour scheme -I laid a base layer of white down first then layered colour over the top.  If you haven’t done so already, re-stamp the image in clear embossing ink and heat set.Fussy cut out your additional images and foam mount onto the pane.  Stamp and emboss you sentiment and foam mount the panel onto a white card base. Lastly add some Tonic Nuvo drops for embellishments
