Brutus Monroe: Hello stacked cups ink smooshed card

Hello and welcome to the blog! I hope you’ve had a great week so far. Today is my regular spot on the Brutus Monroe Blog and I have this lovely bright and cheery hello stacked cups card. I love the bright purple and pink colours in this card and think the stack of teacups is so cute, especially with the heart tie on the spoon. Remeber to check out the Brutus Monroe blog for full details of this card, link at the end of the post.

Hello Stacked Cups Card Process Overview

Stamp the image onto Alabaster cardstock with Raven detail Ink. Colour the image in with Alcohol markers. Trim a card panel down to 1/8″ border for a 5″ x  square card. Smoosh ink pads directly onto an acetate or malleable plastic backing sheet and spray with water. Press the plastic sheet down onto the card panel and move the ink around with your fingers. If needed, dry in between colours to add layers. Set this to dry. Add a strip of vellum one third up from the bottom and adhere to the back of the panel to hide the adhesive.

Die cut your sentiment several times from Raven Black cardstock and adhere together with glue. Emboss the die cut with holographic embossing powder and adhere on top of the vellum strip. Foam mount the stamped image to the right of the sentiment and stamp a smaller sentiment beneath this.  Foam mount the whole card panel onto your card base and finish off with white Tonic Nuvo drops.
