Brutus Monroe: Featuring ‘Tea Time’ Stamp

Hi, welcome back to the blog. Hope you are having a great week so far. Today, the design team for Brutus Monroe are featuring another stamp set – Tea Time. I love this little stamp set as it has some great sentiments are variety of cups and pots to match! This is a great stamp set for every Tea lover, which most of us British are!

I didn’t realise until after I made made the card, the colour scheme kind of reflects the colours of tea! From your pale drinks to your builder’s brew shade, it has colour for every tea! I also feature some beautiful embossing using the Petal lace embossing folder from Brutus Monroe.

Tea Time Card Details

To start, I trimmed some Alabaster card down to 1/4″ smaller than my cardbase – I used a 6″ x6 square card. I stamped several cups and a pots onto Alabaster card in Detail Raven Ink. Once dry, I coloured these in with some alcohol markers.

I trimmed a piece of kraft card from my stash down to a tag shape – you could use a die if you have one. To add more detail, I embossed this with the Petal Lace embossing folder. I stapled some ribbon to the top as though this was some string for your tea bag. I love how this ribbon says handmade with love, apt for when you are making a brew!

Before foam mounting my stamps onto the card panel, I added some ink blending. I use Hayride Surface ink, and it is so easy to get a lovely soft effect without an lines from your tool. You should give the Surface Inks a try!

I also stamped the ‘You are my cup of tea’ in Raven Detail Ink and foam mounted all my pieces on to my card. Lastly I added a few white Nuvo Crystal drops to embellish.

Did you like this project? Why not pin it and save for later? It will be there for when you need it!
