Hello and its good to see you over on the blog. Brutus Monroe team are hopping today showcasing a new stamp set soon to be released. This is the Dragon Kisses stamp set. It has a variety of different sized and expression dragon along with a Viking lady to boot. If you love to colour this will be a great stamp set for you as these are perfect of all different colouring mediums. I was drawn to this little sad dragon and thought along with the sentiments, he might look a little ‘blue’. Therefore, why not colour a blue dragon blue!

Dragon Kisses Card Details
To start off, I stamped the dragon from the Dragon Kisses stamp set in Raven detail surface ink onto kraft paper. This ink is archival when dry so perfect for all colour mediums including watercolours and alcohol markers. Today I coloured in using a selection of blue pencils along with a white pencil.

I used the white pencil to add a base layer to help bring out the vibrancy of the pencils and to help add highlights. Whilst colouring, I imagine the light source was in the upper right corner to help when adding shading. I am no colouring expert, I just colour in a way that feels right for me. For the shine in the eyes, I used a white gel pen to had a highlight as though the light is reflecting in the eye. Once he was complete, I fussy cut him out.

For the rest of the card, I ink blended Speckled Egg Surface Ink onto an Alabaster card panel. This was adhered to Raven cardstock card base with a small strip of grey diagonal patterned paper. I stamped a sentiment from the set in Raven detail ink and matted this onto the panel with matching cardstock. Lastly, I embellished with several Acrylic Bubbles and clear Nuvo drops. This little dragon has certainly stolen the show!
