It is so good to see you again! Hopefully, you have had a crafty week; if not, I hope you have a crafty weekend! This week the Brutus Monroe design team have been using Karen Burniston dies with Brutus Monroe products. The Karen Burniston die I have used today is the Spinner Square Pop-up. It is great for creating fun interactive cards, as when you open the card panel pops out. What you could put on this panel can vary so much, so imagine the fun you could have!!

SPINNER SQUARE POP-UP Card Process Overview
Die cut a square window in your card base, make sure this isn’t too far from the fold so the pop-up will align up with the window. Die cut the pop-up mechanism from the card and fold along the scored lines. Assembled and adhere to the inside of your card, full instructions on how to do this, refer to Karen Burniston website for some excellent videoes! The die set comes with a rectangle die which works well for the platform to add to the pop-up arm. This platform allows you to add decoration, I used some stamps and a sentiment. The sentiment was stamped on the speech bubble die. This sentiment came from the True Love – Luggage stamp set.
Add decoration to your pop-up panel; I used stamps from the From Paris With Love stamp set in Gargoyle surface ink. For more definition, I added shading to the stamped images with a watercolour brush and ink.
In addition, I ink blended Speckled Egg ink on the background to life the images out from the background. I repeated this directly onto the card from behind the sentiment. The sentiment was die cut from several pieces and layered on top and matted with patterned paper and matching cardstock. The front was embellished with a variety of sequins, including Glass Slipper Bottle Cap Sequins. For additional decoration inside, a couple of stamps were stamped directly onto the inside of the card in Sidewalk ink.
