We’ve been experiencing some beautiful weather recently, although not in tropical temperatures, but it inspired these cards with beautiful tropical pops of colour. These are very quick easy cards to make, and you can easily change the sentiments up on the front for the occasion. Or alternatively, leave the sentiment off, and have the card in your stash for when you need a card for any occasion!

Beautiful tropical pops of colour: creating tropical stamped images
These cards use the Scalloped Ornaments stamp, stencil and die set. Stamp the scalloped ornament outlines images in Versafine onyx black ink onto white cardstock.

Next, use small Altenew Blending tools along with the 2-in1 colouring stencil to add light colouring to the stamped image. Here I used two ink colours – Altenew Coral Berry (Red Cosmos Ink Cube set) and Fresh Lemon (Pocketful of Sunshine Ink cube set).
For the orange shade, overlap the two colours for a soft colour. These three colours along with the design start to create a tropical vibe! After the colouring is complete, use the coordinating dies to cut out the images.

Beautiful tropical pops of colour: creating a tropical coloruful background
To add to the tropical vibe, trim down a piece of Hero Hues Azalea cardstock and Gina K Seaglass down to 3.75″ x 4.75″. Next, overlay the Altenew Woven stencil over each panel and apply Altenew Embossing paste through this.

Once the panels are dry, add them to a white card base. Foam mount each of the stamped images onto the front and colours just pop off these backgrounds.
For the sentiments, stamp in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto white card sentiments from the Altenew Engraved Flowers stamp set and trim these down. Adhere the sentiments to the front of the card and finish each card off with a few Buttermilk Tonic Nuvo Drops.
