I’ve recently loved creating watercolour cards with a more monotone colour scheme. With that, I’ve again used a monotone colour scheme to paint the new Rosa Floribunda Paint-a-flower stamp set. I love the grey-toned watercolours and the Rock collection tone in the Artist Grade watercolour set from Altenew was perfect. This card can easily be used as a sympathy card or a card for someone how is going through a hard time.

Monochromatic paintinf the Rosa Floribunda
Start off by heat emboss the Altenew Paint-a-flower Rosa Floribunda stamp set in gold embossing powder onto watercolour cardstock.
Next, start colouring the floral in with Rock Collection grey from the Artist Grade watercolour set. Add more pigment to the base of the leaves and fade out to give depth and dimension.
Adding a lift to the Rosa Floribunda
To lift the floral, add a soft wash of a blue around the outside of the floral allowing this to fade out. The blue use here is the Lapis Lazuli from the Artist Grade watercolour set.
Lastly, finish this off white with a heat embossed sentiment and a few gold sequins to embellish the card.
