I’m so excited to be part of the Altenew Birthday hop for Bumbleberry Papercrafts, and we do love Altenew over at Bumbleberry’s! I have three cards today, using three different stamp sets from Altenew, but keeping it cohesive with the colour scheme and the use of a stencilled background.
You can start at the beginning of the hop over at Altenew’s Card blog right HERE. For all the details on the prizes, make sure you head over to the Bumbleberry Papercraft blog where you can enter and hop along!

Card 1: Floral art
For this first card, the Floral art stamp set was used to create the focal floral element. To help align the layers, the outline layer was first stamped in black ink before the first layer f the large flower was stamped in Altenew Teal Cave ink. The inner layer of the floral was stamped in Altenew Galactic Stream ink.

Card 2: Ruffled flowers

For the floral element to the card, both of the floral clusters from the Ruffled Flowers stamp set were used. Again, for ease of aligning all the layers, the outline layer was first stamped in black ink before stamping the first layer in Teal Cave and then the second layer in Galactic Stream. For the leaf clusters in the stamp set, Evening Grey ink was used for the first layer after the outline layer had been stamped in black. All the images were cut out using coordinating dies.

The card panel once dry was foam mounted onto a Tranquil Teal card base and the floral elements were foam mounted with varying dimensions for added interest. The sentiment, which comes from the Ruffled flowers stamp set, was stamped in black ink in one corner to finish the card off.
Card 3: Handpicked Bouquet

The large flower from the Handpicked Bouquet stamp set was stamped in the same manner as before, with the outline in black and the lightest layer in Teal Cave and the darkest in Galatic Streem. The leaves were then stamped in Evening Gray. The finished floral was cut-out using the coordinating die.

In order for the floral to stand out from the busy embossed background, 3 white circle frames where cut-out using nesting circle dies. These were then foam mounted onto the front of the card panel, with each circle increasing the depth of the foam pads for added interest. This helps to ground the floral. A white heat embossed sentiment from the Handpicked Bouquet was added to the front to finish the card off.
