When I sat down to make these cards, I knew I wanted to make something with the colours of the rainbows. The smaller circle stamp from the Positive Thoughts stamp set was perfect for creating a variety of backgrounds in the colours of the rainbows, making the perfect backdrop to add a sentiment. You can easily change these up using a more muted pastel colours if brights are not your thing and you can also add any focal element on top. Just have a play and see what you come up with!

Card one: With a positive thought!
To start off, this first card was created by stamping the smaller circle from the Positive thoughts stamp set in a circle on a 5.25″ x 4″ card panel. Each circle was stamped in each colour to the rainbow twice and the circles were overlapped each time. The colours used were: Samba, Tiki Touch, Limoncello, Aquatini, Suede Shoes and Grape Crush.
Next, the Altenew Fine Circles Frame die was dry embossed into a circle cut out of Gina K Soft Stone card stock. Before dry embossing this, embossing ink was lightly applied to the die, and this was transferred when dry embossed. Following this, this was covered in white embossing powder and heat set.
The card panel was mounted onto a white card base, and the circle was foam mounted in the middle. A sentiment from the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set was heat embossed onto black card and mounted on top of the circle.
Lastly, a selection of Tonic Nuvo Drops was added around the card in a rainbow of colours.
Card two: The most amazing person!
This card uses a muted selection of colours to create the rainbow. The colours used were: Peppermint Scrub, Mandarin Spice, Sauna, Green Tea, Stone Blue and Royal Treatment Catherine Pooler Designs Inks. Each circle was again stamped in one colour twice, but this time going across the rainbow in a diagonal.
Another sentiment from the stamp set was again heat embossed in white onto black card. This was first of all foam mounted and matted onto a piece of Soft Stone cardstock before foam mounting onto the middle of the card panel. The card panel was then adhered to a white card base.
Lastly, the card was finished off with a selection of Tonic Nuvo Drops scattered around the card.
Card three: Believe in yourself!
This card uses another colour combo again, for a slightly more muted look. The circles where this time-stamped horizontally across the card panel, again overlapping for more interest. The colours used were: Party Dress, Bellini, Shea Butter, Skylight, Juniper Mist and Sangria.
The Altenew Simply Friend Die was cut out of Soft Stone Cardstock, and added to a white layered friend die-cut, offset slightly to create a shadow. Another sentiment from the Positive Thoughts stamp set was heat embossed in white onto black card and foam mounted on to the front.
To finish, a few white Tonic Nuvo Drops were added to embellish the card.
