If you’ve caught my latest release with WOW! Embossing Powder, you’ll have seen the new stencils I created including the big Snowflake stencil. But its not just a stencil, it comes with the coordinating mask as well. Today, I showing you 3 ways to use one stencil set to create a trio of elegant Christmas cards – Christmas in July may have finished, but we still need to crack on and start making some Xmas cards ready to give out for the season!

Apply ink over the mask
For this first card, spray Pixie spray (a temporary adhesive) to one side of the Snowflake stencil mask and adhere to a white card base. You can use other methods to keep it in place if you don’t have Pixie spray.
Next, blend off the mask using a blending brush and Tranquil ink from Catherine Pooler Designs. Make sure you go over all the design and apply more ink towards the middle for a soft halo effect.
In addition, add Cove Blue ink more towards the middle of the Snowflake stencil mask. Remove the stencil to reveal the white negative Snowflake.
To add to the winter feel, splatter gold and white metallic paint from the Altenew Metallic Pan set over the panel. To finish the card off, add gold heat embossed sentiments on black card from the Merry Sentiment stamp set.

For this second card, we are using the Snowflake stencil mask again but this time with some mixed media. Once more, temporarily adhere the Snowflake mask down onto a white card panel.
On a non-porous surface, mix Gold Dust Essential Sparkles into a translucent texture paste with a spatula.
Slowly apply the glitter paste over the Snowflake stencil mask taking care around the fronds of the snowflake. As you get towards the bottom of the snowflake, drag the paste down for a more organic finish.
Remove the mask and clean over the paste. Leave the panel to dry and then adhere to a white cardbase. Finish the card off with a gold heat embossed sentiment onto black card. This sentiment comes from the Peace, Love & Joy stamp set.

Temporarily adhere the Snowflake stencil Mask down onto a white card panel. Ink blend over the mask like we did for the first card.
Remove the mask and now positioned the Snowflake stencil over the negative snowflake on the cardbase. I find the Wendy Vecchi Make Art Stay-tion works well in keeping stencils in place.
Once more, mix some translucent paste with Gold Dust Essential sparkles and apply through the Snowflake stencil. Remove the stencil and clean before the paste has a chance to dry. Finish this last card off with some gold heat embossed sentiments on black card using the Christmas Sentiment stamp set.
