Brutus Monroe: Featuring ‘Cake Stamp’

Brutus Monroe: Featuring ‘Cake Stamp’

Well hello there! Welcome back to the blog, it's so good to see you. Brutus Monroe have another great stamp set out for you, and it has so many delicious stamps for you to enjoy. The Cake stamp set is very easy and versatile when it comes to creating fun birthday cards. I have usee one of the cakes as the main focal point of the card and added some extra detail to the embossing in the background. Don't forget the whole team has some fantastic projects today using this stamp set so don't forget to check the Brutus Monroe blog out.

*For supplies featured in this post, please refer to the links at the end of the post.

Cake Stamp Card Details

First of all, I stamped the cake in Raven detail ink as this is waterproof when dry. I used some Gansai Tambi Starry Colours paints to watercolour the cake in. These paints give a beautiful shine to the cakeI used the White Gold for the icing and Red Gold for the sponge. Once completely dry, I cut this out with a stitch rectangle die.

To create the background, I used the Vintage Tapestry embossing folder with some grey cardstock.  I wanted to highlight the detail in this folder even more so. To do this, I used a blending tool and some Pure platinum Mouse from Tonic to 'gild' the impression. Furthermore, I added splatters of the Red gold paint to tie in with the cake stamp.

The cake stamp piece was foam mounted onto the centre of the embossed card panel. I added to sentiments from the Cake stamp set in Raven detail ink. Lastly, to finish the card off, I added a selection of sequins and Tonic nuvo drops to embellish the card.

Did you like this project? Why not pin it and save for later? It will be there for when you need it!

Now some of you may already have known that, but I didn't and I love the term!
